(Robdog). VideoBlog From KamKITE, day 1, 2013 tour (taken from Landyachtz blog, day 1) Epic. feels so good to be back in the land of the long white cloud about to get rad on the fine curves the North Island has to offer. Its to be a smaller group of rad lads and a far cry from last years 20 odd. We got 11 crew from all round the planet. Matt k, Gabe, Bondy, Speedy, Kam, Api, The Chad, Jacob and two new friends to add to the ever growin' family, Gavin from Calgary and Jordan from Albany, and myself. Good times are just around the corner.....literally! day 2 videoblog KamKITE
Arriving at the base of the southern side on one run, eager eyes pry the front windscreen and jaws start to drop. Even for those of us on the tour last year, it still amazed us at how much camber was in the turns. the pavement was as good if not better after 12 months of traffic. The joint is just off the hook in the craziest way. Everything came back pretty soon after rollin in for the first time. The smells. The speeds. The leaning corners. The features. Po dawg road kill. Nature! There's not too many out there offering the same as the 'Mukas'. Coupla runs in we went to get some grub to fuel these athletic units of ours! Lunch and a lurk in town at the sk8 park can always offer some excitement too. Heavy gang scene in this area of the North. U wouldn't know it? Back to the boarding and the arvy was filled with stoke. Filming, mobbing, lurking, styling. Whatever ya felt like, all were getting rad.
With heaps of light left in the day and totally spent from a days traveling and shralping went and got the ingredients for the mondo cook up from hell. Spag Bol! Stuffed and looking back on the day and I'm stoked to say that I'm really looking forward to the next 2 weeks here, doin what we do, with such a great bunch of blokes. Ntence Dcentz 2013 is gonna be rad. Stay tuned for frothin' updates. day 3 videoblog KamKITE at Testicular Factory, first skating seen so far ends up being a massive standie like a boss. frothing at Mungamuka (adam yates) G what a sleep. I think I can speak for the tribe and say that we all slept pretty damn well. Late night games of dice and a mountain of food would suggest that anyhow! Had the hell sleep in and I think for a good reason. There had been some early morning rain and the roads outside were a little wet. the sky had that 'morning sickness' look to it. Time to lurk and chill and word is, me homie Cam is feelin a little under the weather. Poor fella threw chunks even before we had hit town for breaky. Time we had a feed and got to the hill. The sun had some serious punch! While the weather and road had taken a turn for the good, Cam had hit a wall. Looked like death had been ran over by a logging truck. Heavy bra! While we hit the hill, Cam laid at the top. Not much else he coulda done. YATEDOG checks in down at a local skatepark. while matt K kills it in the bowl
Things got wild on the first run. I guess peeps where stoked!! Yew. A tail wind had offered us a lot more speed than last year and this morning it was blowin' real nice. I was lurking at the back and just getting a good feel for the day, then I feel spits of rain. I looked forward and crew where bunched. It was looking good. Chad felt the spits as well and was chillin' and his board drifted a little in one of the early rights. Bondy was just in behind and come a gutsa as things got tight. BONDY! All good. Chill. Stop make sure the bearded man was OK and get on with it. (Robdog) on ya yates, thanks for the catch up and low down on the tour so far, keep an eye out for fresh photos coming out and daily updates about the crew traveling the north island on the In-tence D-centsFB page and hopkin youtube channel.
