Where in the world is Gabe?
As most of you know, our man-grom Gabe Gwynne (Sector 9 team rider) has been spending quite a bit of time overseas in Canada and California. A lot of you might be asking: I wonder what Gabe is up to? Well we were asking ourselves the same thing! Hes a pretty cruisy sorta dude that can dissapear on skatetrips at the drop of a hat, but we have finally heard from the fella and got some info on what he has been up to.
Gabe:
My knee is almost back at 100%, I spent the last week in San Francisco/Berkeley skating everyday getting my shit dialed. Skated with a sick crew for the whole time and learned some new rad steez from homies Liam Morgan and Jesse Brieman. Those guys are getting sideways on another level. Team Texas plus Kelly Carter and James Kelly also rolled into town today for some shred-tastic times on the beautiful hills of the East Bay. The local groms came out to play along with a majority of the Sunset Sliders crew and in no time we had a 30 man [and one girl] pack slipping and sliding down some of the sickest terrain California has to offer. We ended our day with some epic burritos in West Oakland, perfect.
I'm getting a ride up to Vancouver then heading to Giants Head Freeride with the guy who makes Moon Pucks [Adam aka the Moonman]. Still not sure if I want to race with my knee not fully healed, a crash onto it could really ruin the rest of my trip. So far I'm looking a coming back down to California after the Giants Head Freeride, chilling for a month and then heading out to Hawaii to spend some time in the jungle with my bro Ethan Lau. Skate barefoot and eat fruit from trees, err'day.
Speak to you soon,
Gabe
