Do freeriders foot brake?
If you want to skate to the best of your ability, you'll need to foot brake. It allows you to safely ride in a pack, be a part of a mob run and not be the goose that blows it with a big pendy on crash corner. Footbraking is faster and more precise. You can set up for the corner later, hit the apex and rally the corner at speed.

We have been testing products and have found the Atopic is the best on the market. It comes in two thickness = 6mm for Racing and 4mm for Freeriding.

The item is one piece of rubber, enough for one shoe.

How to apply a footbrake sole to your shoe?
You could take it to a cobbler and get them to do it or you can do what most longboarders do - apply it themselves. We have a complete guide on the blog, the simplified version is:

1. Sand and clean the sole of the shoe - you need a good surface to stick to.
2. Use Quickgrip glue on the rubber and shoe sole.
3. Apply pressure (weight) to the shoe for several hours, best results overnight.
4. Cut off excess material around the sole.

Sole size?
33cm x 12.5cm
So unless you have a shoe bigger than size 17, this sole will fit your shoe!
