Taylor has been on the Carver team for nearly a decade, and during his tenure they've made numerous board models for him. His most popular by far has been the Fort Knox, a mid-sized deck with the wider spooned nose for extra forward foot placement. Everything is designed to work with Taylor's style of power carving, so for 2014 they made a few adjustments. First they added a quarter inch of length to this signature model and lengthened the wheelbase by 3/4". It's a subtle adjustment, but widening the stance and drawing out the carves by just a little bit makes this all-around board pump a bit faster. It still has the same easy pump and stable pushing properties, but with the added length Taylor has adjusted the stance so its even more closely matched with his surfing stance. This is important when using the board for surf cross-training, as it sets up good foot placement habits and proper muscle memory. Next, gave the template a fuller squash tail for a classic look and feel. And finally, kept the winged theme for his graphic, as well as his favorite blue and black colorway, creating a new Knox with the same classic vibe that Taylor has always had.

What’s the difference between the C7 and the CX?
The C7 is Carver's signature surfskate front truck, and it has an incredible amount of pump and turning radius. It has a spring loaded swing arm that allows the nose of the board to sway slightly from side to side, essentially allowing you to snap your turns from the tail and pump effortlessly for speed. It is as close to surfing on land you will get!
The CX is Carver's reverse-kingpin longboard truck. It is like a standard longboard truck but given the Carver treatment, has more pump and is tighter turning. It has a similar feel to the C7 but is less extreme, so if you want a more longboard skate than surf skate but want to pump and surf, then the CX is the truck you want.
