Perfect for the smaller skater or someone that wants a smaller longboard.
Variable concave creates a comfortable ride and greater turning leverage. Discover the glorious flex and playfulness of the Drop Carve.
The board features fiberglass on the top and bottom, sandwiching a bamboo core. This nearly bomb proof construction produces a strong, snappy, responsive deck. The addition of a nose and kick tail add pop when doing flat ground tricks and variable concave ensures your feet are locked into a comfortable riding position. Great for riders commuting, cruising, carving, freeriding and freestyling.
There are two versions this year from Landyachtz. The Nautical (this one) has an extra layer of bamboo and less fibreglass. making it a bit stiffer.
The construction of 4 plies bamboo and 1 ply of pre cured fibreglass and 1 ply of wet fibreglass makes it light weight, thin, responsive, and a snappy flex...which means it makes longboard carving fun!
Pre-cured Fiberglass is used to increase the strength and durability of a board while also reducing torsional flex and weight. Landyachtz lay up pre-cured fiberglass on the face of the deck. Then the board's graphic is sublimated into the glass, allowing for a bright graphic that will not scratch or peel over time.
Wet fibreglass is added within the bamboo layers to strengthen and make that flex snap return to centre. Basically the wet glass reduces sag over time, and helps the board maintain it's snap flex longer.
For a smaller younger skater go with 63mm Micro Hawg, 63mm Fatty Hawgs or 67mm Tracer Hawgs. These wheels will match the board size and skater size, making carving easier.
For an adult commuting or daily cruising board use Bear 852 and Mini Monsters (lower the duro the softer the ride)
If you want to shred and slide then use Bear 852 and Mini Zombie Hawgs (higher the duro the easier it is to slide).
If you want a wheel for everything then Mini Zombie 78a or 80a

As riding progresses, the need for symmetrical boards becomes more prevalent. This board features a true symmetrical shape allowing the skater to ride both switch and regular without any stance adjustments.
