These are Byron Essert pro wheel - that should be enough reason to buy this wheel. Need more info?
They use the energy core as the high end race wheels. The formula is 27 - that is the fast and grippy one. Similar to the much loved 66mm centreset freeride wheel but the shape has been perfected for freeriding.
This wheel is taller and a bit skinner on the contact patch. The reason it is skinner is the rounder edges. Byron has modified the shape for a quick release freeride wheel. The 27 formula gives it extra grip when you need it. Whatever your terrain for need, you gonna love this one. Fast freeride not a problem, this wheel will roll fast, give you consistent speed checks and make you look steezy at the end with a huge stand up heelside. You will out skate and out last your mates on these wheels.
This wheel is the 78a, which is a bit slower and a bit gripper
