The Paris 149 street truck would normally not be in this category but put on a Pantheon Pranayama deck and it is the best compact LDP set up in the world! We have not put 180 trucks (10 inch wide) in this category, mainly because skaters have moved away from wide boards. Paris 180s on a Loaded Dervish is a super fun push and LDP set up but not as competitive as a Pantheon Supersonic. One of our inhouse boards is a Rambler with 180 Seismic in a 30\/45 split and it is a super fun pump and push set up. The general LDP trend is smaller trucks, so that is what we have listed here. The best LDP trucks are split angle. For example the Paris 150 trucks work best in a 50\/43 split. The 43 at the back and 50 at the front. 40° = business at the back and 50° = party at the front.
A 40° truck can be used as a stable rear truck to create a directional downhill board or a LDP (long distance pump) set up. Pantheon uses these trucks on their Supersonic LDP pumping board.
For LDP or Pump truck set up: the lower degree on the rear truck allows a board to be pumped easier, creating drive from the rear. Combined with a turner 50° on the front provides a turnier front to compliment the drive from the rear.
For downhill set ups, create a more stable rear but maintaining a turny front. Good for steezy freeriding or an agile downhill setup. Excellent entry level downhill truck.
These are the Gen 6 Grizzlies, one of the most popular longboard trucks in the world. This truck has been continuously updated and improved for 15 years! Primarily designed for responsive deep carving and maneuverability, they excel in downhil and LDP and pump track skating. Compared to previous generations, Landyachtz has added rake and offset to the Gen 6 Grizzlies to increase responsiveness and maneuverability without sacrificing stability. Every generation also increases strength while decreasing weight meaning that these trucks can take a beating and keep coming back for more.
The big addition to this series of trucks is the insert bushing that keeps the hanger centred around the kingpin as the truck articulates. This lets you run your trucks looser without feeling twitchy or sloppy, unlocking even deeper carves and tighter turns.
