Order information

Payment: Our methods of payment online are Mastercard, Visa, Paypal, Apple Pay and American Express. We do NOT charge fees on credit card use. Hop hates when shops do that to him, so he refuses to do that to his customers.  

Online payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete (we are talking seconds), your purchase transaction information is deleted. 
At no time do we store or record your credit card details on our server or someone else's server. 
All orders ship with stickers. If you didn't get stickers, check the parcel, sometimes we attach them to the box, sometimes we hide them in the box. If you didn't get stickers, please send an email and we'll get some posted out.
We are limited in what stickers we can send out. Not many brands allow us to buy stickers. Check out our sticker page for the latest sticker we have and are including in your order. 
Stickers we can buy and resell have a new area on the website, so you can buy stickers or extra ones with your order.
Personal details: We store your details on a fully encrypted server for the purpose of delivering your order. We use Shopify servers only, they maintain security and keep your data safe. 
Marketing: We are not very good at spamming, so if you sign up to get marketing emails, they will not be very frequent. We do not sell or pass your information on to any third parties. Your details are always stored on fully secure and encrypted servers. 

Stock: We do not have a traditional retail shop. We operate out of a commercial building, we stock a lot of products however our stock levels can vary due to the popularity of the item. Our main business is distribution not online sales. This means we represent the brands on this website and we sell mostly to skateshops in Australia and Asia. If we are out of stock, chances are one of the  skateshops we supply has it in stock. If you are looking for an out of stock item, send us an email and we'll let you know where you can buy it. It might be at your local skateshop!  

Warranty: Hopkin Skate provides a one year warranty. Covers manufacturing defects only. Products sold on this website are designed to be destroyed with use. Warranty does not cover wear and tear. We do not have a hard and fast rule on warranty. We treat every warranty enquiry seriously, and do our best to make a bad situation better. Final decision on a warranty can be decided by the distributor or manufacturer.

Tax: If you are located in Australia all prices on our website include GST (Goods and Services Tax), which is 10% under Australian law.
When things go wrong
No one wants an order to go wrong but we ship a lot of product every week and we do make errors. The important thing is not to get angry. We like to do the right thing. If it is important, you need the right product ASAP, we will do our best to make the situation right. If that means extra stickers, an apology, a refund, a bunch of flowers, then that what we'll try to do. We are limited in the speed of how we ship products to some areas, for example: if you are in Western Australia, we can't air freight a longboard overnight to you, it is just too big. 
If you want a refund, that is not a problem, we do them fast and with a smile. If you return the product in resaleable condition (un-used) then we are happy to do a refund. You don't need an excuse, you don't need to be angry or disappointed, the decision is yours, we wont try to talk you out of it. We refund the same way you paid, we don't like doing store credits. 
We like returns for credit to be done within 30 days of purchase. 
If we stuffed you your order, and you think we are a bunch of idiots, you are entitled to a refund. 
I want to speak to a human
Sometimes technology is not the answer. If you need to speak to a human, we list our phone number in the footer. If no one answers, please try again at a later time, it is not personal, we still love you. We get busy at certain times, and we can't answer the phone and we don't have an answering machine. 
Afternoons and on weekends are not good times to call. In the afternoons we are usually assembling longboards, and packing them in boxes to meet our  4pm Australia Post pick up.
