Love them or hate them, this is the swallow tail version of the Barcelona deck.
It reminds me of Bali teak, and vendors hawking their furniture on the way to Medewi in Bali, a soft gentle giant wave, that all levels of surfers can enjoy. This board is the same, it feels comfortable from the moment you step on it and start to push. The concave wraps your feet, the trucks are a natural extention of your legs.
The perfect board for ripping around the skatepark or a pumptrack.
This surfskate is 10 inches wide, which is super comfortable, gives your feet lots of room, great for a beginner on a surfkate. The wheelbase is 16 inch which is a little longer than a standard skateboard. This gives the board a super responsive feel, the board feels and performs more like a skateboard than a longboard. You will feel super comfortable carving banks at the park, dropping into a pool or pumping berms and banks.
The WoodDetail Surftruck Spring System is similar to the Yow surfskate. The Yow is more aggressive, feels a lot more loose than the WoodDetail trucks. The WoodDetail trucks are more stable, suit beginners or heavy skaters. Where they excel is on the pumptrack or in the skatepark, or pumping and carving your favourite beach road or bike track. They would compare more to a Carver CX truck than a Carver C7.
