I spend a lot of my time in-camera zoomed in, capturing the little moments whilst focusing on the skater, it’s how I’ve always enjoyed taking photos of all of you, so this photo is a little different.

I’ve begun on occasion to change how I’m looking at the image as a whole and on this particular morning at Kaunertal in Austria I peaked over the crest of the cliff and to my surprise had this beautiful part of the road illuminated in the morning sun. Both top and bottom of the frame have had some work in post-production to dramatize the picture slightly and the skater in frame is Jeb.

As skaters we focus on what’s in front of us, but rarely do we take the time to observe the beautiful places we ride in so I think this picture captures it perfectly.
