This is the stiffer and less lean CX bushing set up = one cone and one barrel bushing kit. The Krank formula gives you less lean, it is not as responsive as the APS bushings. The barrel and cone combo is a lot stiffer. If you are looking to restrict the feeling of the board, it is too loose or unstable, then this is the correct bushing combination: Krank with barrel and cone.
RipTide's highest rebound formula to date, KranK is designed specifically to change under pressure and is controlled by the amount of clamp pressure you subject it to when tightening the King Pin nut! The effective range of control is from barely snug for the loosest feel to 2 full turns for the tightest feel. KranK will turn the same or less than the same durometer of other brands which is also a departure from APS and WFB. As for washers, flat washers work great with this compound, but for the greatest control and range of this performance feature, use cupped, precision flat or precision cupped washers.
Why buy Krank?
In the Carver CX trucks the Krank formula gives you less lean. If you are a heavier skater then the 96a will give you more options, you can krank the kingpin nut down to make your ride more stable. If you are into more pumping and speed and less surfskate carve then Krank is a good choice. If your board is wigging out on the pumptrack, and it is out of control at speed or you need more feedback/resistance on the banks then buy Krank. There is no nicer feeling than banking hard on the pumptruck and feeling a bit of resistance to get that fast exit speed. Mmmmmm speed.
